Memorial Day means the start of the Summer season and with that is a 3 day weekend! So what does that mean for us? An extra day to unwind and take in those happy moments with family or friends. To often we take the weekends to catch up with the day to day activities and chores that just don’t happen in our busy weeks. Between our fulltime jobs, kids, and appointments who has time to shop, clean, and relax. It’s easy to tell yourself that with a 3 day weekend that gives you an extra day to do all that’s needed. I’m here to tell you to STOP right there! Honestly those things will get done ether way. It’s just not an option to ignore them. Planning is the key to fitting it all in and much more. Prioritize yourself, your peace, & your happiness. Make the plan to spend some time unwinding and doing the things you absolutely enjoy. Take a bike ride or hike on a trail. Go to the beach and soak up the sun while feeling the sand beneath your feet. Have a picnic or BBQ with family and friends. Go to the city you have been wanting to explore.Take the day to see the sights of those places you have had on that list to do when you had time. End your days around the fire pit or take in the sunset. The point is to take advantage of the time off to relax and just be you! No chores, no projects, nothing that will make you feel like your tired from your weekend of working. We all need time away from all the craziness. It’s important to relax, unwind, and recharge. So make a point this weekend to spend the WHOLE weekend doing what you love!
